Justin S. Elkins, 7th generation native Floridian, is the Operations Director of Water Resources for Lake County Board of County Commissioners and the Lake County Water Authority.
From 2001 to 2015 Justin’s career with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission would allow him to work with game and non-game wildlife, endangered species, Rx and Wildland Fire operations, intensive warm-water fin-fish husbandry and stocking, aquatic and terrestrial restoration, aquatic animal drug trials, etc.
Since 2015, Justin has worked with the Lake County Board of County Commission where he oversees the water resources operations; aquatic plant management, navigation and regulatory markers, waterway management and control of the Palatlakaha River and its 7 water control structures, from the Clermont Chain of Lakes to the Harris Chain of Lakes. Justin sits on various groups such as the Wekiva Wild & Scenic River System Management Committee, and the Interagency Harris Chain of Lakes Aquatic Team.
