Lucas Barroso-Giachetti, PE, CHMM is a seasoned environmental engineering consultant with more than 24 years of experience helping clients address complex environmental challenges. As Terracon’s Regional PFAS Technical Lead, he specializes in PFAS investigations, data interpretation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance strategies. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Lucas supports clients across the public and private sectors on industrial, commercial, and aviation projects, providing technical leadership through every stage of environmental due diligence, development, and site management.
Known for his collaborative approach and technical expertise, Lucas is a frequent industry speaker on PFAS-related topics and emerging environmental issues. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and New York. In his free time, he enjoys reading, soccer, and chess.
